One phone call to either a sales agent, closer or the customer at a trusted phone number will usually confirm the existence of a scam. Trident’s next step is to not respond to any email thread but send an original encrypted email to the true wire recipient and only accept a signed, notarized Trident wire authorization form, which then will get verified once again with the recipient at a trusted/known phone number, per our wire verification policy.
